The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really going ahead.
